SUMMARY
Green Campus Initiative, Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus
Green Campus Project aims create data collection infrastructure to enable sustainability projects, and develop and implement sustainable solutions on campus through active energy management, reducing energy consumption and increasing efficiency, and facilitating the use of renewable energy sources. In addition to many educational and promotional activities, the project organizes competitions toward students: Green Brain of the Year Contest aims to increase and enhance the international awareness of the Sustainable Environment, Energy, and Water Resources among youth, specifically high school and university students. Junior Green Brain of the Year Contest is for high school students and Green Brain of the Year Contest is for university students who would like to produce original ideas and projects to tackle a sustainability problem.
